FOX 7 Austin is looking for an energetic, relentless storyteller to anchor our premier evening newscasts and drive our 24/7 streaming presence in one of the fastest-growing markets in the country. If you know how to break news on TV, engage thousands on social media, and build a brand viewers trust everywhere, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do

• Anchor live daily newscasts and high-stakes breaking coverage with credibility, warmth, and high energy.
• Anchor Digital Newscasts: Anchor live digital newscasts presented without scripts, using strong news judgment and a conversational, confident delivery.
• Fuel the Digital Engine: Create engaging video-first content for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts, and push urgent updates to FOX7Austin.com, our app, and OTT streaming channels.
• Engage the Community: Host live digital Q&A, interact directly with viewers online, and represent the station at major Central Texas events.
• Drive the Story: Pitch enterprise leads, champion bold investigative angles, and mentor our team of reporters.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of primary anchoring experience in a fast-paced market.
• Proven digital skills with a track record of growing an engaged online audience.
• Strong unscripted anchoring ability and the editorial judgment to handle live and breaking-news coverage.
• Mastery of video editing, CMS platforms, and live breaking-news execution.
• A standout reel showing your best studio work and engaging social and digital content.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $130,000.00-150,000.00 annually.

• This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
• Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
