Responsibilities
  • Implement and adhere to Herschend Enterprises’ Core Values, Guest Service Standards, Policies, Procedures, and Safety Protocols.
  • Lead a team of 4 to 8 gift shop hosts, supervising processes and operations.
  • Develop and monitor a motivated, positive, and productive team.
  • Assist in evaluations and training of staff.
  • Implement new policies and procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of team members, awards, and recognitions.
  • Address guest and staff comments, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Stay informed about activities, aquatic life, and special events to inform guests.
  • Work independently with discipline and reliability, prioritizing safety.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication.
  • Ensure PCI compliance.
  • Maintain store displays, pricing, inventory, and stock levels.
  • Assist guests with merchandise, transactions, and store navigation.
  • Keep the shop tidy, well-stocked, and properly documented.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is a plus.
  • Cash handling and POS experience preferred.
  • Strong public speaking skills and fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
  • Ability to react calmly to stressful situations.
  • Previous supervisory, guest service, or retail experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Successful background check.
  • Ability to stand long periods, climb stairs, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
