Are you finishing your DFT or DCT this year and seeking continued support and development? Our FD+1 scheme might be the solution for you!

We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious dentists early in their careers to join our Private and NHS practices across the South West. We offer a formal programme of support and ongoing development to help you achieve your full potential while providing the highest level of care to patients.

Who we are:

Rodericks Dental is a dynamic group of dental practices offering NHS and Private care throughout England and Wales. We are clinically led and prioritize the best interests of our patients. We pride ourselves on our teams and strive to ensure each member has opportunities to develop into their best selves.

We emphasize education and development, with many of our dentists acting as mentors and supervisors. With over 40 DFT practices, we understand the needs of our junior colleagues.

We recognize that joining a practice can be stressful and sometimes daunting. To support this transition, we launched the FD+1 Scheme, which has received overwhelmingly positive feedback, leading us to keep it as a permanent feature.

What is the FD+1 Scheme?

The FD+1 scheme is a year-long programme offering hands-on study days, interactive CPD, and 7-day-a-week clinical and mentor support.

What can I expect from the scheme?

1. Hands-on study days with experienced speakers in restorative dentistry, endodontics, clinical photography, composite bonding, and oral surgery to refine your skills.
2. A dedicated Clinical Support Lead who will hold regular group Zoom meetings and drop-in sessions for case discussions and queries.
3. Support at practice level with an experienced clinical lead on-site.
4. Networking opportunities with other FD+1s and our wider clinical team.
5. Flexibility to run your own diary, choosing appointment times that suit you.
6. Investment in equipment and materials to support your clinical interests.
7. The experience of being involved in something special.

How much does it cost to join the FD+1 scheme?

Nothing at all! All hands-on days, remote sessions, and support are completely free for you to use as needed.
