Job Summary

Support the Southern California Conference (“SCC”) in accomplishing its mission, “to exalt Christ by cultivating healthy churches and schools” and its core values of integrity with transparency, engagement, stewardship, unity in diversity, and relationships & team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Regular attendance.
  • Fiscal leader and adviser who provides sound financial guidance that assists the administrative team in the decision‑making process.
  • Financial manager who clearly understands the economic resources and collaborates with Administration and Conference leadership in their management.
  • Manager of capital and financial assets who, through his/her fiscal leadership, is charged with the guardianship of these assets.
  • Communicator and collaborator who disseminates and articulates the financial status of the school; and
  • Comply with policies and procedures of SCC, including but not limited to those in the Employee Handbook, the Pacific Union’s Education Code, and the North American Division Working Policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Perform each essential function satisfactorily, and
  • Be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing, and
  • Documented proof to work legally in the USA, and
  • The selected candidate will need to complete a Live Scan and obtain background check clearance, and
  • Possess a proven track record of effective leadership, judgment, collaboration, a learner and possess character above reproach, and
  • Meet the requirements listed
Education And Experience

Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance from a recognized and accredited college or university is required. At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting and business management or a combination of academic qualifications and relevant work experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
