Delta-T Group seeks Substitute Teachers for Newark, NJ, offering long-term and per diem assignments as independent contractors. Positions require NJDOE substitute certification and fingerprinting with opportunities across the Newark area for the 26-27 school year.

Responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating instruction, working in small groups or larger classes, and maintaining classroom management with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Certified substitute teacher per NJDOE requirements.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach, and evaluate instruction for students having difficulty with reading or writing.
• Work with students in small groups and in classroom settings.
• Meet and instruct students in the locations and at the times designated.
• Use positive verbal and non-verbal skills that enhance learning.
• Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff, or parent/guardian in all public settings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by program/building administrator(s) in accordance with school policies and practices.
