Position Overview: State Pre-K Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year-olds based on individual needs and program requirements. We seek change makers who are curious, inventive, and compassionate to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.

Responsibilities:
  • Caring: Follow licensing, company, and grant guidelines to ensure daily care of children.
  • Engaged: Observe, assess, and plan for children; communicate effectively with families.
  • Knowledgeable: Complete training on child care, preschool, and development topics.
  • Creative: Implement curricula and create engaging, fun learning experiences.
Qualifications:
  • Associates in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, or an active CDA in Preschool (preferred).
  • High School Diploma with six college credits in Early Childhood Education or related field (required).
  • Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
  • Ability to meet state and center educational requirements.
  • Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activities with children.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly pay ranging from $16.50 to $18.00, with options for bi-weekly and daily pay, based on experience and education.
  • Immediate health insurance (medical, dental, vision), paid time off, and 401(k) with company match for full-time employees.
  • Limited medical coverage for part-time workers.
  • Education assistance, including tuition reimbursement and certification programs.
  • Monday-Friday work schedule.
