TransChicago Truck Group is seeking a Vehicle Transport Driver to work with the New Truck Prep team, transporting heavy trucks and chase vehicles to dealership and customer locations in the Chicago area and beyond.

The role requires a Class B CDL with air brakes, 2 years driving experience, a DOT medical card, and a clean DMV record. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, life, disability insurance and a 401(k). Regular attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2 years of driving experience.
• Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement; Class A license preferred.
• Must be able to pass a DOT medical certification evaluation.
• Clean DMV motor vehicle record required.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions is required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required.
• Regular, predictable, and full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Driver must be physically capable of performing required work.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of TransChicago locations or customer locations.

Responsabilités

• Deliver new trucks, used trucks and customer vehicles to various locations within the Chicagoland area.
• Follow through with customer returns accurately.
• Communicate any damage or mechanical issues timely to TransChicago.
• Work with Service and Truck Sales departments to communicate customer feedback.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles.
• Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.

• Compensation & Benefits:
• Compensation: $20/hr-$22/hr.Compensation will be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications, and education.
