Job summary

The University of California, Merced is seeking a Student Service Advisor to support New Student Orientation on-site. Under supervision, you will work with Orientation staff to implement programming, recruit participants, run learning workshops, and manage the Orientation center website.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment efforts, managing registrations, creating timelines for facilities and events, and assisting students and families with questions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Orientation staff with implementation of recruitment and planning for New Student Orientation.
• Manage registration processes and tracking in line with move-in processes.
• Develop master timelines for facilities, work orders, and permits.
• Coordinate space reservations and room setup.
• Plan and execute information fairs.
• Assist students, parents, and guests with Orientation registration questions and issues.
• Update the Banner system with Orientation cancellations and no shows.
• Co-Supervise Orientation Logistics Leaders Student Staff.
