Job Overview

Provides support as a member of the Grocery team, including receiving and preparing product, maintaining the grocery floor and displays, and selling product in support of WFM standards. Performs functions related to breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves. Ensures a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members. Adheres to store SOPs, supports WFM values, and complies with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure fresh and appealing displays; keep cases and shelves clean and stocked.
  • Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy cases.
  • Monitor and prevent spoilage; communicate waste issues.
  • Maintain back stock in good order.
  • Assist with sampling programs; keep sample areas presentable.
  • Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
  • Participate in inventory checks.
  • Arrive on time, groomed, dressed appropriately, and ready to work; attend trainings and meetings.
  • Deliver excellent customer service; address customer needs promptly and effectively.
  • Maximize sales through proper product handling and merchandising.
  • Follow procedures related to weights, measures, health, sanitation, and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment; keep equipment in standards.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure signage and pricing accuracy.
  • Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, cold, and hot environments.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Operate tools and heavy machinery as needed.
