Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Specialist to join our team for the 2024-2025 academic year. This full-time, onsite position involves working with a diverse caseload across various elementary campuses and a high school.

Responsibilities
  • Provide speech and language therapy to a caseload of 50 students.
  • Collaborate with other SLPs, SLPA, and educational staff to support student communication needs.
  • Supervise and mentor SLPAs and potentially Clinical Fellows (CF) as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Conduct assessments and provide interventions tailored to individual student needs.
Caseload Distribution
  • Elementary Campuses:
    • Assist from a bilingual SLPA or Para at one location.
    • Participate in a 3-year-old PACS program alongside another SLP at another campus, dividing students between them.
    • Manage a caseload primarily consisting of English-speaking students at one school.
    • Collaborate with two SLP-CCC and a part-time SLPA at a large campus.
    • Supervise a CF or SLPA at another campus.
    • Share responsibilities with a full-time virtual SLP at one school.
  • High School: Provide services to students at the high school and 9th-grade center.
Requirements
  • Active SLP License/Certification in the state of Texas.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred.
