New - Project Manager - Construction - Catalina Island Job Site (Catalina Island, Hybrid, CA)
Typical Responsibilities
- Ongoing assignment – Catalina Job Site
- Experienced Project Manager capable of quickly ramping up to oversee 5–9 projects, with full accountability for scope, budget, and schedule outcomes.
- Hands‑on contributor to project execution, proactively identifying challenges and implementing solutions. Collaborates to define project goals, timelines, risk assessments, key milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
- Effective problem solver who drives task completion by setting priorities and resolving conflicts among team members and functional groups.
- Proficient in core project management principles, with the ability to learn and apply SCE‑specific processes including Investment Decisions, project management workflows, budgeting and scoping tools, procurement, environmental compliance, and regulatory requirements—particularly for water, gas, and electric infrastructure projects on Catalina Island.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across external agencies, internal stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams. Listens actively and respects diverse viewpoints.
- Self‑driven and well‑organized, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Schedule
Monday to Friday (Two days Catalina Island job site, three days remote)
Location
Hybrid remote with job visits to Catalina Island x2/wk
Ability to commute/relocate
Catalina Island. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering, business, or a technical discipline — or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required: Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Microsoft Project.
Required: Familiarity with Primavera P6 and SAP.
Required: Minimum of seven years of project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the utility industry
- Background in construction management
- Exposure to environmental and permitting processes
License/Certification
PMP (Preferred)
