Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking an NPI Sourcing Specialist to drive supplier coordination and material readiness from development to production.

You will own supplier management, RFQs, and total-cost assessments for assigned programs, ensuring cost, quality, and timing targets are met. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, Operations, Planning, and suppliers to address sourcing risks, validate components, and transition to production purchasing after launch

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain or a related field.
• Proven experience with engineering change processes and ERP systems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience coordinating NPI readiness, supplier performance, and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQs, quote analysis, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and total-cost assessments.
• Source components, assemblies, and other NPI materials for prototypes to production.
• Manage NPI POs, supplier commitments, delivery schedules, and changes.
• Support material forecasting, expediting, and risk mitigation with planning and operations.
• Evaluate supplier pricing, tooling, and logistics; identify cost-reduction opportunities.

The salary range for this role based in Peoria, IL is $67,700 - $101,600 USD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is field. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certification, and geographic location.
