Job summary

Honda is seeking a proactive engineer to develop and maintain schedules for parallel projects launching new and updated powersports products. You will review design changes, lead tool procurement, and ensure BOM accuracy to support production timelines.

This role requires an engineering/technical degree (Bachelor's preferred), 2+ years of relevant experience, and strong communication, with flexibility for travel and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and procurement of tools/fixtures for new model implementation.
• Program equipment for new and existing models.
• Confirm BOM accuracy.
• Create department budget for new model projects.
• Create/maintain master parts list and drawings for outsourced assemblies.
• Prepare and present project status to upper management.

Job Purpose

Develop and maintain schedules on parallel projects to launch new and updated powersports products to production in a manner that prevents negative impact.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain department new model specified action plans.
• Review and track design changes impacting assembly.
• Determine change point impact to department and set reaction plan.
• Lead design and procurement of tools/fixtures required for new model implementation.
• Program Equipment for new and existing model's.
• Confirm BOM accuracy.
• Create department budget for new model projects.
• Create and maintain master parts list/parts illustration.
• Create and maintain drawings for out-source of assemblies.
• Prepare and give presentations on project status as needed to upper management.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Minimum Educational Qualifications: Associate's degree in an Engineering or Technical Field (Bachelors Preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Other Job-Specific Skills: Strong communication skills: Verbal and Written. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated experience assembling project schedules and Gantt charts. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able and willing to work flexible hours and weekends. Must be available for occasional travel (Domestic and International). Occasional overtime may be required without advance notice. Presentations to management as required.
