Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead from concept to final assembly for new models. You will drive lean processes, develop tooling and facilities, and lead virtual assembly builds while coordinating with Design, Release, and plant teams.

The role requires travel up to 40-50%, strong communication, and experience with tooling, quality, and facility equipment in production environments. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or equivalent manufacturing engineering.
• Willingness to travel and support launch activities at North American Assembly plants.
• Travel up to 40-50% as required by launches.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with virtual manufacturing tools and process development.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program.
• Develop tooling and facilities based on product and process needs.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles and drive cycle time and throughput improvements.
• Lead virtual manufacturing assembly builds and interface with Design and Release.
• Prepare management presentations and track tooling issues to closure.
• Support new model launches with extensive travel and plant presence.
