We are hiring a Lounge Bar Back for Hook & Ladder and 1874 Social located in Hotel West & Main in Conshohocken.

We are looking for people who have a passion for serving others! Working at our hotel bar and lounge outlets means you are often the first or last greeting our guests receive, working alongside our talented bartenders. It’s a TEAM effort at our Concord establishments, and your role is just as vital to the guest experience as the bartender. Your friendly smile and cheerful customer service attitude set the tone for our guests to enjoy their visit. Your proactive, responsive, and caring approach will make all the difference.

Role Outline

Bar backs and food runners are responsible for providing excellent customer service, serving food, cleaning, restocking, assisting with opening and closing the bar, and following all safety guidelines. Applicants must be dependable, able to stand for 8-10 hours, work at least 3 days per week, and be willing to work weekends and holidays. Prior experience in a high-volume food & beverage establishment is required.

• Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
• Be punctual, in uniform, clean, and neatly pressed.
• Maintain personal grooming at all times.
• Know the layout of the bar.
• Ensure sufficient back-up liquor.
• Act as a runner for the bartender as needed.
• Change kegs as required.
• Maintain clean glassware at all times.
• Re-stock ice, garnishes, and mixes as needed.
• Maintain clean rags for the Mixologist(s).
• Clear empty glasses and dishes from tables and bar tops.
• Wipe down tables and bar tops.
• Participate in end-of-day cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms.
• Communicate security and operational issues observed on the floor.
