New Home Star, in partnership with Communities by Grainger, is seeking a motivated sales professional to join the Communities by Grainger team in Sycamore, IL! Communities by Grainger is a custom home builder that specializes in 55+ communities in Sycamore and Genoa, IL. They design and deliver beautiful homes that offer a worry-free 55+ lifestyle, without sacrificing quality materials and expert workmanship, as they believe that everything built should challenge the status quo and that customer satisfaction should be the top priority. The needs of each resident are taken into consideration when designing a custom home, balancing flexibility with customization with the stability of best practices.

New Home Star is looking to find a driven New Home Sales Consultant to join this builder's close-knit team to support the sales and marketing efforts in their Sycamore and Genoa 55+ communities. If you have established experience selling in real estate and you are ready to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively engage with homebuyers to understand their needs and guide them through the home-buying process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and local realtors, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and trust.
  • Assist clients with the necessary paperwork and facilitate smooth transactions from start to finish.
  • Conduct regular marketing initiatives to build your network, advertise the builder, and secure sales opportunities.
  • Conduct tours to showcase the communities, available homes, floor plans, and amenities.
  • Oversee the maintenance and presentation of the community’s model home.
  • Stay informed about the local real estate market, competitive properties, and industry trends.
Requirements:
  • Has a positive attitude, is trainable, and is driven to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently on a competitive sales floor as well as work in a team environment.
  • Able to work 5 days a week, which includes Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Manage a flexible, adaptable schedule to connect with clients around their availabilities.
  • Proficient computer knowledge/skills (i.e., MS Office Suite such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • At least 2-5+ years of experience in sales and customer service is preferred.
  • Experience working with title companies, in property management, or with mortgages is a plus.
  • Be solely focused on representing and selling Communities By Grainger homes.
Benefits:
  • This is a W2, exempt position that offers 401k matching and health benefits.
  • The role offers a base salary of $36,000 plus 1% commission on all homes sold (1.5% commission per sale if no buyer's agent is involved). Team members are eligible for a higher commission rate contingent on hitting performance goals. The estimated earning potential is $90,000- $100,000+.
