We are currently looking for a Converting Production Assistant for our Circleville, OH facility.

The Converting Production Assistant is responsible for safely performing various duties to operate, set up and maintain manual and automatic equipment and processes to produce a finished product that meets customer and company requirements. Able to continually evaluate the process and make corrections and/or suggestions to meet the company objectives. To assist in maintaining a safe and productive environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
  • Ensure to adhere to health, safety, and environmental company policies at all times including correct safety PPE as required.
  • React immediately to unsafe conditions and provide communication to management as necessary.
  • Never bypass or disconnect any safety device on the equipment to gain access or to run equipment while in operation.
  • Participate in accident investigations as required.
  • Understand and apply customer specifications to the operation of the machine to assure finished goods comply with customer requirements.
  • Perform regular audits of equipment to ensure that the equipment is safety to operate including guards and safety systems.
  • All quality checks must be performed to publish quality standards with honesty and integrity.
  • Inform the shift supervisor as well as appropriate management of non-conforming product.
  • Insure the operating area and equipment are kept in a clean manner to minimize risk of containments.
  • Perform functions utilizing LEAN manufacturing techniques to minimize waste and optimize production.
  • Ensure to set up all the equipment in the best way due to achieved the best performance.
  • Maintain the machinery in good condition by inspecting and evaluating equipment conditions regularly.
  • Perform basis maintenance functions, write work-orders for items not able to be corrected.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
