Job summary

TEL Staffing is seeking an EXPERIENCED Field Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and diesel engines in the field. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits after the temp period. Work is in Cantonment, FL, with an on-site schedule and tools required.

The position starts at $30–$40/hr depending on experience. A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ownership of your own tools are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Minimal two years’ experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably on heavy equipment.
• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose electrical issues and HVAC in Diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment and diesel engines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across engines, transmissions, and hydraulics.
• Inspect components and replace faulty parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems accurately.
• Repair hydraulics, hydrostatic drives, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to extend engine life.
• Maintain accurate service records of all repairs.

Job description

We are seeking an EXPERIENCED, KNOWLEDGEABLE, & SKILLED Class-A HeavyEquipment Diesel FIELD Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types & brands of Heavy Equipment and DIESEL engines. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine maintenance on Heavy Equipment and diesel engines (including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks)
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with Heavy Equipment, diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
• Conduct inspections to identify faulty parts or components that need repair or replacement
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose problems accurately
• Repair or replace defective parts, hydraulics, hydrostatic drives, brakes, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of diesel engines and Heavy Equipment
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines
• Must be a Class-A DIESEL MECHANIC
• It is preferred that you have experience working (or at least training)at a dealership
• Strong knowledge of Heavy Equipment repair & maintenance
• Must have experiencein diagnosing &troubleshooting mechanicalissuesin Diesel powered engines & Heavy Equipment
• Must have experience in diagnosing & repairing electrical issues in Diesel powered engines & Heavy Equipment
• Must have experience in diagnosingHVAC systems in Diesel powered engines & Heavy Equipment
• Must have a strong knowledge of hydraulic systems in Diesel powered engines & Heavy Equipment
• Must be experienced in both DIAGNOSING and REPAIRINGnot only different types of Heavy Equipment, but also with different brands of Heavy Equipment AND Diesel engines
• Must have at least 2 year's experience and training

SCHEDULE

• 8 hour shift -- FULL TIME
• Monday to Friday
• Work Location: In person

REQUIREMENTS

• OVER21-years of age

• Since this is a FIELD repair position, you MUSThave your OWN SET of TOOLS

PAY

This position starts at: $30/hr. - $40/hr. (Depending on your experience level)
