Qualifications

  • ARRT certification or eligibility (ARRT(R) preferred)
  • Current Radiologic Technologist license in Utah or ability to obtain
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
  • New graduate status with enthusiasm for cross-setting imaging

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations per department protocols
  • Verify patient identification and exam orders; prepare patients
  • review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
  • Maintain radiation safety and safety standards for patients and staff
  • Assist and instruct students and fellow technologists
  • Educate patients and address questions about procedures and care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and exam documentation

This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
