Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is a 222-bed acute care Magnet-designated hospital offering emergency and critical care services as well as medical and surgical services along with a full range of diagnostic and treatment modalities. The Orthopedic and Neurosciences Center offers comprehensive rehabilitation including physical, occupational, speech, and hand therapy.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh is a 97-bed private Magnet-designated hospital located in Shiloh, Illinois, offering 24/7 emergency services, medical, surgical, and diagnostic services including cardiac catheterization, imaging, and laboratory. The Family Care Birthing Center features 18 LDRP suites, two C-section rooms, OB Emergency Department, 24/7 OB hospitalist, and neonatology coverage. It also hosts Illinois' only Siteman Cancer Center location.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care after completing a nursing program and before licensure. Licensure must be obtained within 90 days of graduation from an accredited nursing school to remain employed in an HSO in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Use critical thinking to assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, promoting patient and family-centered care.
• Evaluate patient responses and modify care plans accordingly.
• Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and compliance. Engage in professional development.
• This is a safety-sensitive position; alertness and safe work practices are essential.

Minimum Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
