Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a New College Grad Engineer in Boise, Idaho to join the Product Yield Enhancement team. You will help identify causes of low yield, collaborate with multiple engineering groups, and perform physical failure analyses to improve product yield and reliability.

Responsibilities include applying statistical methods, following safety procedures, and gaining hands-on experience with FIB/SEM tools. Shift rotations and development opportunities are part of the role.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Identify causes of low yield through detailed analysis.
• Work with engineering groups to resolve process/defect issues.
• Perform physical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms relating to assembly defects and fab process.
• Apply statistical tools for data analysis to drive yield improvements.
• Certify in and follow chemical safety procedures.
• Train and gain experience in Physical Failure Analysis.
• Develop expert skills using Focused Ion Beam (FIB) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
