Job summary
SpaceX is seeking a NEW GRADUATE ENGINEER, SOFTWARE in Hawthorne, CA. You will develop autonomous software for spaceflight, owning design through deployment and validating with simulations.
You will work across cross-disciplinary teams to ensure viable system-level solutions and contribute to a mission-driven culture focused on Mars exploration. The role emphasizes rigorous problem solving, ownership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment as SpaceX advances
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or related engineering discipline is required.
- Graduation in 2026 or 2027 is expected for new graduate roles.
- Proven skills in C++, Rust or other systems programming languages.
- Experience with real-time embedded or distributed systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable autonomous software systems and the simulations required to validate them.
- Own all aspects of software development including design, testing, and integration to the mission.
- Work with counterpart engineering teams to develop and maintain launch and vehicle software.
- Collaborate across disciplines to bring ideas from concept to flight.
