About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident in the Telemetry Unit at Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital provides exceptional patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients with various medical-surgical diagnoses. This role is ideal for new graduates seeking to enhance their nursing skills in a supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience

• New grad or less than one year of RN work experience
• Less than one year of current acute direct patient care RN experience if moving from non-inpatient to acute care

Licenses & Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
