Cleveland Clinic's South Pointe Hospital is seeking a New Grad RN Resident to support exceptional patient care within a structured residency program. You will join a dedicated team, build bedside skills, and benefit from a strong mentorship environment.

The role includes direct nursing care, patient and family education, and participation in a residency core curriculum. Requirements: ADN or BSN from an accredited program, Ohio RN license, and BLS certification; BSN preferred and new-grad or <1 year acute inpatient experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN) required.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist fellow caregivers with providing exceptional care to patients from initial introduction to discharge.
• Interact directly with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education.
• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience

• New grad or less than one year RN work experience required.
• Experience RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one-year current acute direct patient care RN experience.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross required.
