Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is recruiting a New Grad RN Resident for Internal Medicine Telemetry. You will work on a collaborative unit with day/night rotations, focusing on clinical assessment, care coordination, and patient-centered care.

Minimum qualifications include RN licensure and graduation from an accredited nursing program; BLS required. New grads or those with ≤1 year RN experience are eligible, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross
  • New graduate RN or <1 year RN experience

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs
  • Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach
  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity and resources
  • Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective action
  • Seek supervision and assistance when needed
  • Document inpatients’ medical records

H80 – General Medicine/Telemetry is a collaborative acute care unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for adults with various health concerns, that may include congestive heart failure,diabetesor other complex medical needs. H80 offers nurses a dynamic and rewarding environment where you will buildexpertisein clinical assessment, care coordination, and patient-centered care while working within a supportive team that promotes professional growth and development.

A caregiver in this position worksday/eveningrotation 7:00am—7:30pm or 7:30pm—7:00am.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.

  • Provide direct nursing care alongside asuccesscoach.

  • Respond to dataindicatingrisk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

  • New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor ofScience inNursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
