New Grad RN Resident - Acute Care, Neurology and Cardiac Telemetry

Join us at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital as a New Grad RN Resident in Acute Care, Neurology, and Cardiac Telemetry. We have been providing world-class care to our community for over 100 years, focusing on patient-centered care and collaboration among healthcare professionals.

The 8100 Family Practice Unit offers neuro, cardiac telemetry, and general medicine services for patients with various diagnoses such as sepsis, pneumonia, strokes, and FFT. As an RN, you will assist in delivering exceptional care, interact directly with patients and families, and contribute to their healthcare education. The Cleveland Clinic provides professional development resources, including educational courses to enhance your skills.

This position works nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and recognize significant changes in patient condition.
  • Develop and update care goals for identified problems.
  • Involve patients and families in developing individualized care plans.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans and serve as a patient advocate.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely.
  • Document care accurately using approved terminology.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary evaluations and quality improvement.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
