Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 18-Bed Medical Surgical Unit and the Nurse Residency Program. You’ll begin a structured, 12‑month journey with three phases: clinical competence, culture transition, and leadership development, supported by a preceptor.

This full-time night-shift program includes paid participation in all phases and a $10,000 commitment incentive.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Demonstrate adaptability and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Engage in ongoing learning and build clinical knowledge during the residency.
