DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is offering an RN Residency program (FT) in the Post Acute/Nrs Admin area. Residents will begin professional nursing practice in a mentored environment, building confidence through a structured transition-to-practice experience and developing leadership skills.

New graduates or RNs with up to 12 months of hospital experience are invited to apply. A Texas RN license or temporary permit is required prior to start, with ACLS/PALS looming within six months.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Temporary GN permit or Texas RN license required before start.
• ACLS or PALS certification within six months after transfer.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Nights and/or weekend work required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in service delivery.
• Manage and provide patient care in assigned area.
• Assess nursing needs and plan care with the team.
• Collaborate with physicians and families to evaluate outcomes.
• Demonstrate clinical competency and administer medications.
• Ensure safety and quality standards in practice.
• Document care and coordinate discharge planning.
• Trains and coaches team members to ensure optimal care.
