Qualifications

• Associate's degree or nursing diploma from a two-year program or nursing diploma from an accredited program.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is recommended.
• RN license in Arkansas or a Compact State is required.
• Certification specific to patient population is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates novice level understanding of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care; addresses patient and family needs.
• Provides safe and effective nursing care with proper documentation and hand-offs.
• Assesses patients and provides developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
• Uses patient information to identify needs and outcomes; participates in care planning.
• Provides patient and family education at novice levels; develops education plans.
• Implements evidence-based nursing practice; considers patient values and preferences.
• Participates in professional practice development and interdisciplinary shared decision making.
• Supports improvement of patient care and works with new equipment and technology.
• Advocates for patients, families and AC team; participates in council and recruitment activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
