Job summary

Denver Health is recruiting a New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) for the 9A Medicine/Oncology unit. The role includes a 12-month Nurse Residency Program with monthly education and hands-on experiences to ease transition from student to practicing nurse.

The unit supports a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, offers opportunities for growth toward critical care, and requires an Associate's Degree, RN license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required and RN license active.
• Less than 1 year work experience in clinical setting.
• Current BLS (AHA/Red Cross) required; RN licensed in state.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of individuals, families and/or communities to identify potential health or safety problems.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient’s condition and vital signs.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient’s responses and conditions.
• Develop and modify patient care plans as indicated by patient’s responses and conditions.
