Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH, is seeking an RN Resident to join its Neuro Medical Telemetry team. You will train through a one-year, accredited Nurse Residency program, work with a dedicated coach, and develop skills in IVs, NGTs, cardiac drips and stroke care.

The role supports new graduates or nurses with limited RN experience, with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and rotating weekends/holidays. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• New graduate RN or less than one year RN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care alongside a coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
• Initiate and/or maintain interventions to assure continuity of safe/effective care for patients.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
