Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is hosting the HCA Nurse Residency Program. This year-long program provides hands-on nursing experience, mentorship from nurse educators, and a structured transition from student nurse to registered nurse.

The RN Resident collaborates with medical teams to deliver patient-centered care, supported by ongoing education, simulation-based training, and evidence-based practice projects within a large health system.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up.
