Your role with us
In the clinical decision unit (CDU), you'll care for patients who come through the emergency room and need to be observed for 18 to 48 hours. You'll often find that the unit functions as an extension of the emergency room, giving the provider time to further evaluate or treat patients before deciding whether to discharge them or admit them as in patients. You'll encounter a wide range of medical diagnoses, offering you diverse healthcare experiences. These diagnoses include, but aren't limited to, electrolyte imbalances, anemia, chest pain, transient ischemic attacks, and infections.
