Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. invites newly graduated or novice RNs to join the Nurse Residency Program through the Centralized Staffing Office - Corporate Nurse Resident Team for a year of mentored, hands-on learning in acute care settings across Orlando Health facilities.

Applicants must graduate within the year, hold a State of Florida RN license (or valid multistate license), and current BLS. ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required in certain areas; no prior RN experience is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated within the year of an approved nursing program.
• Meets mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• Licensed RN in Florida or eligible multistate license (eNLC).
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers bedside patient care under supervision of a preceptor/leader/charge nurse.
• Develops and revises care plans based on patient needs and responses.
• Communicates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Acts as advocate for patients and families.
