LewisGale Medical Center is offering an RN Residency Program to help new nurses transition from student to registered nurse with hands-on experience and mentorship from experienced staff. Qualifications

BLS within 30 days of employment
ACLS within 1 year of employment
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse in the state
No prior experience needed
Some travel may be needed for training

Responsibilities

Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes
Perform procedures, monitoring, or functions as ordered; document care
Administer prescribed medications; monitor response and intervene as needed
Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
Teach patients and families about condition, treatment, follow-up

Skills
