Job summary

Northwell Health seeks a Registered Nurse at Sharon Hospital in Connecticut to provide direct patient care guided by the ANA scope of practice. The RN collaborates with patients, families, peers, and physicians to assess needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care.

The role requires CT RN license, BLS, ACLS by the end of probation, and typically offers a 36-hour work week with three 12-hour shifts (6:45pm–7:15am), including every other weekend/holiday.

Qualifications

• CT RN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required by end of probation.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessment and reassessment.
• Documents detailed information including plan of care, interventions and outcomes.
• Ensures proper documentation for care level, including transfers/discharges.
• Administers medications with safety checks and patient verification.
• Coordinates and supervises delivery of nursing care and delegates tasks as appropriate.
• Promotes a culture of safety and ensures accurate hand-offs.
• Assesses learning needs and provides patient and family education.
• Cares for diverse patient populations.
• Delivers patient-centered care and maintains dignity and respect.
