UNC Health Nash is seeking a New Graduate Registered Nurse for December 2026 graduates to join Nash UNC Health Care. The Clinical Nurse provides competent nursing care in a hospital setting, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director and coordinating patient care using the nursing process.

The position emphasizes education, evaluation, implementation, leadership, patient assessment, planning, and research within an integrated care team on a 36-hour weekly schedule at Nash Hospitals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the day of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Education - identifies learning needs and attends education programs; uses patient education materials.
• Evaluation of Care - participates in evaluation of patient care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - provides care for patients with complex needs; follows policies and prioritizes care.
• Leadership - supports goals, fosters collaboration, and promotes cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - recognizes data to determine care priorities and discharge planning needs.
• Planning - collaborates with patient/family to update the plan of care and uses multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - reads journals and shares ideas with staff for applicability.
