Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 36-hour-per-week cardiac care unit. The unit focuses on pre- and post-operative cardiac patients, including procedures like heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, TAVR, cardioversion, and ablations, with a broader mix of medical-surgical and orthopedic patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where nursing services are provided (GA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies according to clinical protocols.
• Communicates effectively and delegates appropriately to team members.
