Job summary

Westgate Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse New Grad to join our perioperative care team. You will provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continuously evaluating their condition and ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with ongoing evaluation of condition, safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge.
