Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a newly graduated Registered Nurse for the Acute Care for Elderly Unit in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time position features day shifts, a 36-hour work week, and 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday rotation.

You will deliver evidence-based geriatric care in a NICHE-designated setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support aging patients. Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold an active RN license, and obtain BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in the state(s) where practice is permitted.
• BLS certification required and/or relevant certifications may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety and accurate documentation in the EHR.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area to meet patient care needs.
