Reston Hospital Center invites new graduate registered nurses to join our comprehensive RN Residency Program. In this full-time role, you will deliver patient-centered care under experienced preceptors, building clinical skills across acute care settings and documenting in the EHR.

You will participate in structured education, mentorship, and simulation training with clear pathways for professional growth in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited BSN or ADN nursing program.
• Licensed RN in Virginia or compact state.
• BLS certification through AHA.
• ACLS certification or ability to obtain within hospital-defined timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and pediatric patients under RN preceptor supervision.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient status, escalating changes promptly.
• Document care accurately in the EHR and follow hospital/unit protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans.
• Participate in residency classes, simulations, and competency validations.
• Adhere to patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards.
