Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a New Graduate Engineer, Propulsion (Starship) to develop fluid systems for high-performance interplanetary vehicles. You will design, analyze, and build fluid components, sized for Starship and Super Heavy, with emphasis on manufacturability and reliability.

This entry-level role requires a degree in engineering or physics and hands-on experience from projects, internships, or research. Willingness to relocate to Starbase, TX and to work extended hours as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics; 2027 graduation allowed.
• Experience via project work, internships or research is relevant.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid dynamics and mechanical design are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluids system sizing analysis to determine basic system requirements
• Transform system requirements into hardware concepts and trade implementation options
• Design pressurized and unpressurized structures and parts; create CAD models and prints
• Perform structural analysis to ensure survivability of parts and components
• Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency
• Drive initial builds of flight hardware and work with manufacturing to establish a production line
• Coordinate development, qualification, and acceptance testing of flight hardware
• Participate in design reviews with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to generate ideas and improvements for vehicles
