Job summary

SpaceX invites new graduates to join the Propulsion team by developing fluid systems for Starship and Super Heavy vehicles. The role covers sizing, design, analysis, and manufacturing support for high‑pressure, cryogenic, and thermal systems.

You will create CAD models, perform structural analyses, drive first builds, and participate in design reviews with internal teams and suppliers. A degree in engineering or physics with hands‑on fluids experience is required, and relocation to Starbase, TX

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in engineering or physics; graduating in 2027.
• 1+ year of mechanical or fluids design, analysis, or build experience.
• Willingness to relocate to Starbase, TX.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluids system sizing analysis to determine basic system requirements.
• Transform system requirements into hardware concepts and trade options.
• Design pressurized and unpressurized structures and parts; create CAD models.
• Perform structural analysis of parts to ensure survivability.
• Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
• Drive the first builds of flight hardware and establish a production line.
• Coordinate and execute development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
• Participate in design reviews with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ideate and improve for future vehicles.
