Allina Health’s Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute is launching the PT career path for new grads with structured mentorship, professional development, and exposure to a wide range of patient populations and settings.
New graduates are encouraged to apply before graduation; base pay for new grad PTs in the system starts at $42.24/hour, with shifts including 8- or 10-hour days and variable weekend schedules. Offers depend on available positions.
Launch your Physical Therapy career with Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, where you'll build a strong clinical foundation while working alongside some of the leading rehabilitation experts in the region. Our structured mentorship program provides dedicated support, professional development, and guidance as you transition from student to practicing clinician. Gain exposure to a wide range of specialties, patient populations, and care settings while developing the skills and confidence to thrive. At CKRI, you're not just starting a job; you're beginning a career designed for long-term growth and impact.
Important Dates: New grad Physical Therapists are encouraged to apply before graduation but can do so after graduation as well (May grads can apply as soon as January; December grads as soon as August). We hire and start new graduates year-round depending on available positions.
We define a new graduate as a Physical Therapist with less than 1 year of PT work experience. Please include a current, detailed copy of your resume. You will indicate your preferences for location and department in the application. By applying, you will be considered for all Physical Therapist positions within the Allina system that hire new grads.
Various shifts and FTEs may be available. You would interview and be considered for all work schedule availability. Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours. Weekends may be every other or every third. FTEs for new graduates are often 0.75-1.0 (60-80 hours per two-week pay period). The work schedule details are determined during the job offer and are dependent on what positions are available at that time.
Pay for Physical Therapist in the hospital follows the union step scale which factors in degree and length of service. The current base rate for non-union positions for a new grad PT is $42.24/hour. Specifics around pay, including float differentials, will be discussed at the time of the job offer.
