We are offering a LIMITED TIME SIGN-ON BONUS of $20K for Night Shift only, to join our Inpatient Transplant unit. We care for Transplant, Nephrology, Metabolic patients, and more. Start your nursing journey on this unit and grow into roles such as Transplant Coordinator, Critical Care, and beyond.

The HCA Healthcare Nurse Residency Program is a year-long program designed to give you hands-on experience to help establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills. As a Resident Graduate Nurse, you will be supported by nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents, fostering learning, clinical application, and socialization, guiding you from student nurse to registered nurse.

Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Nurse Residency Program at Research Medical Center provides essential tools for success in today’s hospital environment. This paid program includes:

  • Advanced clinical training in a specialty
  • Monthly educational sessions
  • Preceptorship with a facility preceptor
  • Hands-on simulations for skill measurement
  • Mentoring from nurse leaders
  • Evidence-based practice project collaboration

The RN Resident provides high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers and the care team, and serving as an advocate for patients and families using established nursing models like “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient condition during admission and shifts, reporting changes
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, and documentation as ordered
  • Administer medications, monitor responses, and notify providers of adverse reactions
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • RN License or Graduate Nurse status in the state
  • No prior experience required
  • Some travel may be needed for training
