As an entry-level Nuclear Engineer, you will apply your academic knowledge to develop expertise in the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of nuclear power plants. You will work in teams to resolve critical issues affecting the construction and operation of nuclear power plants and establish business relationship within Westinghouse and with our customers.
You will report to the Manager of Nuclear Engineering. You will work hybrid requiring 2 days per week on-site at one of the following locations:

Learn design and operation of pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plants
Perform standard nuclear design reload calculations using the calc_note template
Follow METCOM, guidance from previous cycle calc notes
Consult with co-authors, functional leads and mentors
Interpret results and work with independent verifier to produce an archived document in PRIME.
Examples of the type of nuclear design calculations like the following for Westinghouse (W-NSSS) plant designs:
RSAC Calculations
NDR calculations
Startup calculations
Work with teams within CE&SD (TH/FRD) and groups outside CE&SD (The safety analysis/licensing groups).
