Job summary

Solace in Redwood City is hiring a new graduate software engineer to ship real features from day one. You won't be stuck on bug fixes or endless onboarding—you'll own features from design through deployment in a fast, high-ownership environment.

You will learn modern stack components like TypeScript, NestJS, React, and a custom UI library, while collaborating with senior engineers and product managers. This is an in-person role, three days a week, with mentorship and growth baked in.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with at least one modern programming language (TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.).
• Projects that show you can build real things—personal projects, hackathons, internships, open source contributions.
• Grit and willingness to learn, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bias toward action: ship first, iterate later.

Responsibilities

• Ship production code in your first weeks, delivering real features for users.
• Build across the stack from database queries to API endpoints to UI components.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end from design through deployment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and designers; seek mentorship while driving your own work.
• Debug production issues and improve systems; iterate rapidly with continuous deployment.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and product planning; share your perspective from day one.
