Job summary

Solace, a U.S.-based healthcare technology startup, is hiring a new grad software engineer to contribute from day one. You will ship real features to real users, spanning from databases to APIs and UI components, with ownership of your work from design through deployment.

You’ll join a talented team that challenges you to learn quickly, think independently, and grow into a strong engineer. This in-person role requires being based in the United States and working from our Redwood City office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with at least one modern programming language (TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java).
• Projects showing real software you’ve shipped; internships or open source count.
• Excellent communication and the ability to take feedback and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Ship production code in your first weeks, delivering real features for real users.
• Build across the stack from database queries to API endpoints to UI components.
• Own features end-to-end and take pride in what you ship.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and designers with mentorship but drive your own work.
• Debug production issues, refactor code, and improve systems.
• Move fast and iterate; ship code to production within hours.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and product planning.
