Silgan Containers Corp in Hammond, IN is hiring Electricians – New Graduates Welcome! You will gain hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, PLCs, motors, and automation equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We offer a starting wage of $36.02 per hour plus shift differential and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. On-the-job training, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree, technical diploma, certification, or recent graduation from Electrical Technology or related program.
• Experience preferred but not required; internships or hands-on work considered.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Assist with diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and operational issues.
• Install and wire motors, switch panels, fuse boxes, sensors, and power circuits.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
