Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a New College Grad - AI Innovation Research Engineer in San Jose, CA. This role focuses on identifying AI opportunities, evaluating emerging AI tech, and prototyping solutions that deliver measurable business value.

You will work with executives to influence enterprise-scale AI initiatives and help Micron lead in AI-enabled transformation. The role requires recent master’s/PhD in relevant fields, strong AI/Machine Learning knowledge, and hands-on Python

Qualifications

• Recent Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, HCI, Information Systems, Engineering or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, ML, or Data Analytics.
• Experience applying AI technologies through research, coursework, internships, or projects.
• Programming experience in Python or similar languages.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• AI Opportunity Discovery across the enterprise to identify high-impact AI use cases.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and platforms.
• Prototype proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate business value.
• Develop business cases; quantify productivity gains and ROI.
